Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology services the Brisbane metropolitan area and regional areas extending as far north as Cairns and south to Coffs Harbour.
About the Opportunity
Applications are invited for a part-time Pathology Specimen Collector to join the team at the Tully Medical Centre, working from 7am - 3pm Monday to Thursday and from 7am - 1pm on Friday.
Your primary responsibility will be taking blood samples from patients, in addition to:
- Providing quality care for our patients in the community;
- Treating our patients with care and compassion;
- Receiving urine and faeces samples;
- Recording patient information;
- Completing online training via our eLearning training system; and
- Liaising with referrers and ancillary services in a community setting.
Applicants must have well developed interpersonal skills and a commitment to patient care and customer service. The successful candidate will have neat and professional presentation, effective written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to adhere to strict protocols and guidelines.
Experience in venepuncture is preferable but is not essential, with training provided in this area.
